About IAN

Ian Taylor Sutton is a pedal steel guitarist and utility musician based in the San Francisco Bay Area. There, he has earned a reputation as the go-to steel guitarist in San Francisco's storied music scene. In addition to pedal steel guitar, Ian is also accomplished on guitar, Dobro, lap steel, mandolin, and vocals making him the consummate utility musician. 

 

Available for road and session work, Ian has toured with or in support of Chris Stapleton, Jason Boland & the Stragglers, Trampled by Turtles, Charley Crockett, and Jesse Daniel among others and can be found playing locally with Actual Wolf, Moonshine Maybelline, Caravan 222, Buck Ford, and Laura Benitez & the Heartache, and many more.
